A month ago, one of the biggest security flaws ever to be found on the internet came to light. Heartbleed was its name and trouble was its game. The initial reaction was swift, with thousands of companies and servers sending out patches and fixing the problem themselves. But it seems that this momentum is slower than it seemed.
As of today, 9/5/2014, nearly 300,000 servers worldwide are STILL vulnerable to Heartbleed. Whereas this is down from 600,000 a month ago, it’s still an awful lot of servers being left vulnerable to the bug. Worried that you might be one of them? Contact your provider and see what they have done.
Oh, and don’t worry. We here at Ireland Website Design had our server patched within hours, so you’re safe with us.
