The Task

In early 2020, Logues Shoes, a historic landmark retailer and family-run shoe shop based in Galway, approached Ireland Website Design to expand their online presence. They tasked us with revamping their current website and designing a brand new one for the international market.

Their website needed additional shopping features, a new look, and revived content to give their shoppers a more enjoyable experience. They also wanted to build on their current SEO and paid advertising strategy with a heavy focus on paid search ads.

Our Solutions

Once we identified Logues Shoes preferences and goals during our discovery phase, we immediately got to work building a new version of their website. Along with custom banners and stylescapes, we included an array of shopping features to drive conversions, encourage add-on purchases, and capture missed sales.

This included adding multiple payment options (gift cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Stripe, Shopify Pay etc.), creating upsell motivators (spend x for free shipping!), abandoned cart emails, a ‘complete the look’ section, intuitive filtering options, and customised banner graphics.

We also wanted to increase the brand’s social proof by adding a product reviews feature and adding their Instagram feed to the homepage. Once we were happy with the final look and features, we created a multi-currency website on a new domain to help Logues Shoes reach shoe-lovers and retailers globally.

Our team of paid social and PPC specialists helped to create insight-driven campaigns by installing enhanced eCommerce tracking via Google Analytics, setting up Google Shopping ads, and Facebook’s product tagging feature. They amped up their paid search campaigns with copy shoppers couldn’t resist.
